A History of Dramatic Choices
I’ve been 'performing' since I was nine months old. I’d like to say it was my choice, but child modelling doesn't exactly come with a union rep.
I spent my life from infancy to 18 chasing spotlights, and then did what any sensible person does: I got a "proper" job in admin. It turns out, staring at spreadsheets is surprisingly similar to stage acting—both involve a lot of pretending to know what you’re doing while wearing a costume that’s slightly uncomfortable.
A few years ago, I fell back into the world of film and TV as a supporting artist. It’s a glamorous life of standing in the rain for fourteen hours to be "Background Person #4." Naturally, I needed a hobby that didn't involve waiting for a casting director to validate my existence.
Enter: The Clay.
My sister dragged me to a jewellery-making class, and I got hooked. Not in a "I found my soul’s calling" way, but in a "this is the only thing that stops my brain from overthinking everything" way.
Creating with polymer clay is my version of therapy, minus the expensive hourly rate. It’s tactile, it’s messy, and it’s the only time I’m truly the lead director.
The One-Woman Circus
Diva & Dough is a strictly one-woman operation. There is no factory, no "team," and certainly no corporate mission statement. It’s just me in my studio, usually covered in clay dust, trying to make sure these earrings look better than my 9-to-5 soul felt.
Why buy from me?
Zero Mass Production: Each piece is hand-mixed and sculpted. If they look a little unique, that’s because a human made them, not a robot.
Anti-Admin Energy: Every sale helps me stay away from a filing cabinet and closer to a film set (or at least keeps me in clay for another week).
British-Made: Sculpted, baked, and packaged in the UK by a woman who is trying her best.
If you’re looking for something that wasn't birthed by a machine and has a bit of actual personality, you’re in the right place. Thanks for supporting my last-ditch effort to avoid the "normal job" life. It means more than you know.
